It has been said that a spiritual leader will first, above all, have a calling from God. Their work is not their profession but their calling. This phrase most certainly describes Dr. Tavara Johnson. Dr. Johnson knows her calling and walks in that calling effortlessly as event host; multi-best-selling author; mentor; certified life, professional and Christian coach; and motivational speaker. She is aware that Christ did not use his leadership to gain power or position or popularity, but instead used leadership to help others. One of the pillars that she stands on is that being a leader means helping those in her circle of influence. And to this creed, she is dedicated and passionate about helping to guide others in the pursuit of their purpose.

Dr. Johnson knows well that God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. Her passion for seeing leaders arise from a place of obscurity and help them bridge the gap between their current and desired positions led her to launch Emergence Radio Talk on Envision Broadcasting Network. She is also the visionary of the Emerging Leaders Labs, which helps to equip evolving leaders. For many people, this would be enough; however, Dr. Johnson did not stop there. Dr. Johnson is the founder of various mentorship programs, including Emergence, Woman II Woman (WIIW), and The Weight of the Wait. Emergence Mentorship Program is designed to help women struggling with unleashing the leader from within and developing and cultivating their personal brand to allow them to share their unique voice. WIIW Mentorship Program was developed to assist single women in discovering and fulfilling their life’s purpose. Finally, the Weight of the Wait Program is designed to assist women struggling during their time waiting for a God-given mate while they are single.

She believes women who are healed and whole have the opportunity to live an abundant life and reach the destiny God has designed for each of them. Her training in Christian Counselling provides her with the knowledge and skills to help women examine their current state, identify obstacles or challenges, and choose a plan of action to propel them to the next level. She knows that she has been called to serve, inspire and empower other women on their personal journey to greatness. Dr. Johnson is the visionary of Jewels and Gems and Distinctive Women of Worth (DWOW), founded to assist women in finding their God-given purpose and experience healing in their ‘inner me’. She has hosted numerous empowerment events yearly via Jewels and Gems and monthly via DWOW to provide women in attendance the opportunity to break free from bondage and experience freedom at every level.

Even though Dr. Johnson was aware of her calling, she knew that prayer and work go hand in hand and that it was necessary to educate herself to continue in her calling. Therefore, Dr. Johnson obtained her Doctorate Degree in the Ministry of Christian Counselling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Management from DeVry University.

You cannot truly be considered a leader if your actions, not just your words, do not inspire others to dream more, learn more, and do more. To this ideology, Dr. Johnson walks the walk and talks the talk. Dr. Johnson is the CEO of Tavara Johnson Enterprises, which assists ministries, businesses, and individuals with birthing and fulfilling their God-given dreams and visions. She is also the CEO of Emergence Media Group, which offers media and digital platforms intended for individuals to communicate their voice and story. In addition to all of this, she is also the author of the singles devotional The Weight of the Wait; I Declare War: Spiritual Warfare Declarations and co-author of Dreamer on the Rise. When asked how she balances it all, she repeats her life’s mantra, “People make time for whatever is important to them”.

 Her journey to impact women and fulfil her life’s calling and purpose has been eventful. The journey has led her to grace the cover of K.I.SH. Magazine with a feature article.  Several other magazines also recognized her calling, and she has been featured in Beautilicious Beauty Magazine, UpWords Magazine (India), and Refuse to Lose Magazine. In addition, she has appeared as a guest on The Dreamer in You TV Show, and numerous radio shows such as Blossoms of my Life Radio Show, God’s Gems Radio Show, Kishma George Radio Show, and The Good Deeds Radio Show. For her efforts, she has been awarded the Beautillcious ‘Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful Award’ (2019) and the K.I.S.H Magazine Woman of the Year Honouree (2019).
